Identity is a funny word in that it can mean different things to different people and be based on any number of things. We can base our identity on our vocation, race, creed, color, values, memories, past choices, the list goes on and on. New Paradigm Astrology asserts that our identity is “in progress,” as we evolve, grow, and expand. As we shed the identities that we have either adopted or been given by external “authorities,” and more fully embody our soul/spiritual truth.
We can see with Uranus transiting Taurus (until 2026) that radical new values are being discovered, needed, and expressed. And that these new, individualized, “awakened,” values are at odds with many socially prevalent values, rules, laws, and groups. It is as if we are walking a tightrope between being swallowed up by family, social, or peer pressure to be “something,” and resisting/rebelling against the pressure. Both of these can drain us of time and energy which can be spent so much more productively by creating ourselves anew and expressing that creation. More power to you!
