Astrology for the Soul September 18, 2024
Wow, what an eclipse! This lunar eclipse sets the tone for the next six months, are you feeling it? The Sun is still opposite Neptune for a few more days before moving into Libra which signals the end to an old way of being. As I discuss in today’s report, the theme for this eclipse is control versus surrender.
Surrender is a big word that can mean many things to many different people. Today I am speaking of the need to surrender our old, conditioned selves so that our true inner being can more fully emerge into expression. The thing about this is that while many of us born in the western cultures have received some of the same conditioning, we also have our own unique past/identity.
For instance, if you identify as a “spiritual person,” you may need to surrender that identity in order to fully realize your “humanness” i.e. your personal feelings and needs. Others may have conditioning and life experience that has encouraged them to evaluate themselves materialistically. They may need to surrender their attachment to appearances, possessions, or worldly power in order to experience themselves as spiritual beings.
No matter what conditioning/identity we have had so far, the time has come to deepen our self-awareness or “truth of being.” This requires stilling our minds, letting go of judgements, and listening to our deepest hearts desires. It is a Piscean meditative journey that can be very scary, confusing, and easily doubted as the “still small voice within,” is just that – still small! May the inner voice of your heart’s desire grow louder everyday!
