A Journey into the Higher Self: Chris H. Hardy on the Transdimensional Mind
(Global Heart) Discover how your mind can influence reality. In this interview, author Chris H. Hardy discusses her book, “Transdimensional Mind”, and shares how to use your consciousness for protection, precognition, and powerful synchronicities.
Tune into your higher self for protection, precognition, and guidance
Have you ever had a powerful dream that came true, or a strange and powerful coincidence that felt like more than just luck? Our guest today, Chris H. Hardy, a systems scientist and a seer, devotes her research to investigating psi and anomalous phenomena and pursuing a yogic path of exploration. Her work challenges our understanding of reality, bridging the gap between science and spirituality.
In her new book, Transdimensional Mind, she provides a novel framework for understanding these experiences, showing us that they are not just flukes but rather a glimpse into our own untapped psychic potential.
Chris H. Hardy suggests that the higher Self can intervene to protect individuals from danger and create synchronicities to guide them on their spiritual path. Plus, she mentions that human consciousness, animal consciousness, sacred places and the energies of the planet and universe are intertwined. All very interesting and also important topics to explore.
An Interview with Chris H. Hardy about her new book: “Transdimensional Mind”, by Esther Haasnoot for Global Heart
Esther Haasnoot: Chris, in your latest book, Transdimensional Mind, you explore the concept of interconnectedness to explain how we are deeply linked to a broader, multidimensional reality. You posit that our individual consciousness is interconnected with a “hyperdimension” in the universe, and describe the higher Self as a hyper-dimensional entity possessing psychic abilities capable of influencing the material world. Can you explain what is this hyperdimension and how it works?
Chris H. Hardy: That’s a hard and deep question, Esther! I need to bring some background information in order to address it! Let me tell you first that my aim, when I started this book, was to recount the most anomalous and beyond-ordinary experiences that I had had in my life thus far, which started, after my bachelor degree, with a dozen years as a wandering-quester, hitchhiking all over India, the Far East and Africa, to learn from the ancients their knowledge about mental potentials. After which, I decided to pursue my studies and devote myself to integrating in science the higher dimension of consciousness that I had so many times experienced, either during meditation or in peak states. The term “consciousness” was totally absent from psychology, psi phenomena were just fraud, and “altered states” were a totally new and fringe domain of study. I thus got into pursuing a doctorate in parapsychology, while working at a parapsychology lab in the USA, then explored Jungian psychology further, and I found in systems theory the perfect theoretical keystone to study these phenomena.
I had psi capacities that had emerged spontaneously when I began meditating at 18 years old, and that kept expanding over the years; and I experienced high states of consciousness both while meditating and during various trances, such as music jamming or dancing. From my various experiences, it was crystal-clear to me from the start that consciousness was an energy – meaning that it could literally “effect a work,” i.e., it could tinker with real-life events (as in meaningful coincidences or synchronicities), traverse hard matter (as in out-of-body experiences, OBEs, or astral travels), or else reach out beyond space and time as in psi phenomena – such as when we clearly and precisely “see” future events (as in precognition) or far-away events (as in clairvoyance or remote-viewing).
To explain these anomalous feats (which I had personally enacted and witnessed, and this, repeatedly so), there was no other way for me than to fathom an “energy of consciousness” that definitely had proven itself to function beyond any limitations of space and time. Now, I am a theorist at heart. Even while living the life of a wandering saddhu in India for more than two years, and practicing intense meditation, I needed to create concepts to understand what I was living. The spiritual concepts of a cosmic consciousness (Tao, Brahman), of chakras awakening or of astral bodies, all were global guiding lines, yet they were not sufficient to explain many precise feats. For example, I was seeing fields created by this energy which I came to call semantic energy, and later, in short, syg-energy; thus I was seeing syg-fields around sacred objects, as well as rays, straight or curved, shooting vertically or in undulations, from monuments, crossing the landscape (as leys), or around people meditating, etc. I didn’t need a divining rod – I was just ‘seeing’ them, could draw their shape and size, their movement, etc. That ‘seeing’ gave me a lot of information that was in no book (and I had read most of those available). Then I conceived the “Semantic Fields” theory (SFT), in cognitive sciences, to posit a semantic dimension (beyond space and time), with a (still) unknown faster-than-light syg-energy, that could explain psi phenomena, and I published a first theoretical book in 1998: Networks of Meaning, and kept expanding this SFT via articles.
Then I was attracted by quantum physics and realized that, just as cognitive sciences could not explain psi (especially since they thought consciousness was produced by and limited to the 3D-space of the brain’s neuronal networks), in the very same way, physics (whether quantum or Relativity) couldn’t account for many anomalies. For example, physics events happening at an immensely higher speed than that of light – during the inflation phase at the origin, and in the entanglement… Then I had a grand insight while I was finishing the writing of a book on Carl Jung: “But THEN, if neither physics nor psychology can account for the same anomalies (regarding space and time), IT HAS TO BE a hyperdimension beyond spacetime and quantum fields. And because of psi being a mental and psychic phenomenon, THEN this hyperdimension has to include, not only hyperspace and hypertime, but also hyper-consciousness!”
So finally, a few months later in 2012 (then 2015), I developed my concepts in a cosmology theory – a book called Cosmic DNA at the Origin — positing a hyperdimension, or HD, (the Center-Syg-Rhythm-HD) that preceded and birthed our universe-bubble, and that both surrounds it and pervades it all the way to the core of particles. This is the HD in which our Selfs permanently reside, even while we are incarnated, and to which we return as a soul. But through our higher Self, this HD also, surreptitiously, infuses and shapes our whole mental and psychic life.
This is why we live in a multidimensional reality, and why, as human beings, we are also multidimensional ourselves, or rather “transdimensional” – our minds constantly move through the two dimensions, spacetime and the syg-HD.
Esther Haasnoot: You have painted a fascinating picture of how the hyperdimension permeates the entire space-time continuum. Within this framework, can you explain whether our ‘past self’ and ‘future self’ can influence each other, not only in a linear progression, but also through these non-linear, retrocausal ripples? Can dynamic negotiations take place between different temporal manifestations of our ‘Self’?
Chris H. Hardy: Yes, indeed, I do believe that our our ‘past self’ and ‘future self’ can influence each other. Think of it that way: Our higher Self is beyond time and space (in the HD), yet constantly connected to our ego. Our future personality and future achievements are not pre-determined, but for our HD-Self, they are like lines of probabilities pointing to the possible achievements that have been chosen as our goals in this incarnation, or else, the goals that we have set for ourselves to achieve. Our ego is able to sense a tension toward that specific future (that we choose to strive to attain). Sometimes, our ego has a more precise flash or vision of these goals – and we call it a precognition. For example, when I was around 12 or 14, I had repeated dreams about walking, in pre-dawn penumbra, on a straight road bordered on each side by a line of tall slim trees, in a still dark desertic landscape; then the sun was rising far away at the horizon, perfectly at the center of the perspective of the two rows of trees, illuminating the landscape. And what happened is that I lived this precise scene when I was 21-22, hitchhiking barefoot through Rajasthan with no money, and I had just left before dawn a village where I had found a shelter for the night. It was like an illumination for me, like “I’m really living my life now! I’m exactly where I should be !”
But there’s another way to look at it, as you mentioned, through retrocausal ripples: When we’ll achieve a specific goal, say, in 10 years, our whole personality will shine and our consciousness will send meaningful waves of syg-energy all the way to the past, in a retrocausal way, thus maybe triggering a vision or a precognitive dream. (I have written two articles on the Retrocausal Attractor working between Self and ego, one linked to the visualization technique (and explaining how and why it works): you can view them on my academia.edu page (see below).
Esther Haasnoot: The book also explains how to connect with our higher Self to activate our psychic powers. Can you elaborate on that?
Chris H. Hardy: Well, psi phenomena are easily explained if the higher Self and the highest mental feats (such as creativity, flow states, inner and soul-filled contemplation, deep reflection, and the like) are indeed instilled and powered by higher frequencies of thought and awareness. (In brief, the hyperdimension regroup hyperfrequencies that start below and before Planck scale; they are thus sub-quantum; and they climb to higher and higher frequencies back to the universe’s origin.) But let’s be aware that our Self is in fact continuously infusing our thoughts and feelings, even our dreams; yet its influence is generally unconscious to our ordinary state of consciousness. This is why Carl Jung at first discovered and presented the Self as the hidden ‘subject’ of the personal unconscious, before to dive into Kundalini yoga and Taoism, and to understand its role as the Atman permanently connected to the cosmic consciousness (the brahman or Tao). However, what’s really happening during peak states is that we are more strongly connected to our Self, and thus we experience sudden flashes of understanding, of insights and an enhanced creativity – we say, rightly so, that our mind is “getting into higher gear” and that’s literally true: our mind gets into hyperfrequency mode. In fact, it is our momentary “alignment” or resonance with our deep Self that is triggering these states!
This is why, regarding “how to connect with our Self,” any practice that helps us get more “centered” or in an inner state, or that increases our concentration and awareness, and/or the coordination psyche-body (such as martial arts and sport in general) is a means to enhance the communication between ego and soul/Self.
Take meditation for example: it is a practice whose very aim is to progressively increase the connection and harmonization between our ego and our Self, and its end-goal, in all Eastern religions and yogas, is to finally obtain a fusion-state of ego with Self, in which the ego is now mostly harmonized with the Self’s spiritual viewpoint (yet, it’s not a permanent state, as the psyche always fluctuates, like anything alive). The ego-Self progressive harmonization and the fusion-states lead one to experience not only peak states but also an array of psi phenomena. But, all in all, any work on oneself, on self-development, will have very quick effects in our age, because our intuitive capacities are much more developed than in the previous age of materialism.
Esther Haasnoot: But more precisely, how does the “Self” — as hyperdimensional and beyond spacetime — enable phenomena like telepathy, synchronicity, or even the guidance from animal allies, as in the various cases you recount in your book?
Chris H. Hardy: Picture that our Self-consciousness – with which we are in greater connection during peak states – is operating at a hyper-speed in a time-field (or hypertime), and is spread over space in a hyperspace. Then, during these states, our heightened consciousness is like standing on a mountain peak, overlooking things near and far, as well as the future probabilities, thus experiencing clairvoyance or precognitive flashes. Then, our Self, as a hyperdimensional field (the syg-field) can exit our bodies and perform astral travels. Then our Self can exist after bodily death, in a hyperdimension of Selfs. Our ego-Self (fusioned) consciousness can also pick up the thoughts and actual psychic experience of a loved one (as in telepathy), or even events affecting them and their body, as in tele-empathy. But there is more, as I’ve shown that our Self can also, unknowingly to our conscious mind, tinker with real world events and create synchronicities, either to help us or to teach us something. And I do believe that our Self is also the hidden manipulator in the three cases that I recount in this book, in which animal allies suddenly appeared and either protected me or, in one case, led me and my companion to a hidden temple in the forest in India.
This is why this book is, for the most part, starting from real-life anomalous events, by types – such as fields of synchronicities (multiple yet very precise precognitions about one single future journey), or self-defense in cases of aggression, etc. And only then do I endeavor to explain them via a hyperdimension of consciousness and the Self.
Esther Haanoot: You mention “fields of synchronicity.” How is this different from the traditional understanding of a single, meaningful coincidence or synchronicity? And what is the primary purpose or function of synchronicities? Are they primarily for guidance, confirmation, healing, or perhaps a constant reminder of the interconnected nature of reality?
Chris H. Hardy: The “field of synchronicity” is when, in a given period of a few days, weeks, or even months, the same theme or concept keeps being brought to your attention via several synchronicities. For example, a simple case of 3 happened within less than 24 hours. While reading two different books, at three different times the same day, I fell on a word I didn’t know, “Vulgate,” without any further explanation given. It’s only the 3d time that the text gave me the meaning of the word, as the scholarly name of the common Catholic missal. In an article on synchronicities (see the ref. below), I’ve recounted and analyzed several types of them, and showed that each one was answering a specific need in my life; thus I concluded that they were sent by our own Self to give us a guideline or to answer a specific need. In the case above, the word came back until I found what it meant. In another case, it helped me take a crucial decision at a time I was so confused as not being able to see my way through a damaging relationship.
Now, it’s also possible to demand a sign, or an indication about how to act, to your higher Self. To do that, make this little exercise, just before going to sleep.
Sit in a tranquil way alone with a sheet of paper and a pen, then take a few deep breaths to pacify your mind. Visualize your Self as a bright sun about 10 meters above your head, with a ray illuminating your head. Take some time to feel your Self/sun and its energy replenishing your mind and psyche. Then, at the top of the sheet, write: My Higher Self, please give me an answer, send me a dream or a sign to tell me… Then, below, write your question as clearly and shortly as possible; then draw a simple mandala (a geometric figure) at the center of the page representing your question. Contemplate your question and the mandala so that they fill your mind, and then go to sleep on it. The answer should come either in a dream or as a sign in a synchronicity in the next few days. Repeat the exercise if it didn’t come after 3-4 days.
Esther Haasnoot: In your previous book, Living Souls in the Spirit Dimension, you offer methods for accessing the soul dimension. And in Transdimensional Mind, you describe the Earth-Soul, ‘Gaia,’ as a sentient being. What’s a tangible exercise or mental action someone can take to begin to forge this connection? And for someone new to these concepts, what is the single most important first step they can take to begin to explore their own connection to this hyperdimension of interconnectedness?
Chris H. Hardy: The first step (not only as I see it, but as many spiritual schools have it) is an Intent to be on a quest and to search for an understanding of who we are, and what is the ultimate reality of consciousness, of the world. Then to explore inner states of consciousness.
Just listen intently to some spiritual music. I recommend Chantress Seba on You Tube. First, try to listen with all you attention, unwavering, feeling the vibrations flow through your body, cleaning it and reenergizing it (chant yourself a deep OM sound in harmony; follow and replicate her arms movements).
As a second step, lie down and close your eyes, listen to the music with all your cells. Try to feel the music’s vibrations put all your cells in harmony with it. When you can “hear” the music with your cells, you are in the HD dimension of your soul and of your cells. It totally soothes the psyche, and should help restore health.
Now, the most direct way (which I describe in the book) to feel the soul-to-soul communication with nature as Gaia, the (hyper)sentient World-Soul, is contemplation: sit in front of a beautiful landscape, mostly immobile, for any length of time needed for you to feel in deep harmony with it.
Another way is to start a self-development practice, at home or with a group.
Esther Haasnoot: Some studies have documented the absence of pain during deep-trance states and the bio-PK capacity, i.e., the healing of biosystems by healers. You recount some precise personal cases and affirm having been able to “defeat brute physical force” of aggressors. What is happening on a physiological and energetic level that allows for this to occur, and is this a skill that can be developed?
Chris H. Hardy: The point is that we, as scientists, have no idea how the bio-PK capacity of healers is working at a microscopic level on the bio-systems – be they the sick organs of patients or, in experimental studies, the tested organic tissues, bacteria, or even small animals. What we do know is that the meta-analysis of more than 150 experiments in controlled tests gives a beyond-doubt proof that is over 5-sigma, or standard deviations. The healers will tell you they send an “energy” with a healing intent (such as recharging, equilibrating the flow of energy, healing the tissues, etc.); afterwards, they witness the positive effects, but they have no idea either how their intent works at the subatomic or cellular levels.
Occasionally, I’ve performed myself a successful healing, as well as a lot of (mostly) successful visualizations for a number of problems, or to launch an IT business as I recount in Transdimensional Mind. I know that intent + a practical technique (I use visualization + lists, drawings, etc.) works marvels. How it does that is an open question. Using my theory, ISST, I can say it’s a hyperdimensional intent-driven energy – projected by the Self and consciousness-field (syg-field) of the agent/healer –, that directly accesses the HD-layer of the bio-system (i.e., the patient’s sick organ, or whole body) or else, that influences and shapes a future performance or event with the visualized qualities. In my view, it’s not a PK or bio-PK influence on the bio-systems or future events themselves, but an influence of one syg-field (the agent’s mind + high intensity of syg-energy + direction via the intended qualities/properties), on the syg-field (the HD layer) of the (focus) system or event.
Esther Haasnoot: Based on your powerful personal experiences, what advice would you offer to someone facing a seemingly insurmountable problem and who wishes to harness the power of intent for a breakthrough? What are the key ingredients for a successful application of intent?
Chris H. Hardy: Well, I’m not going to answer the “intent” part now. The crucial question is: What can do someone confronted with an insurmountable problem? Here is a step-by-step exercise using visualization, which does help in a more holistic and fundamental way than working with intent (best for working on a specific problem). Do this exercise any time of day/night, when you feel at your best and sure not to be disturbed for the next 30-40+ minutes.
- Recharging yourself via your Self energy. Sit in meditation (cross-legged if possible, eyes closed, your vertebral column straigt). Visualize your Self as a sun (as in Q 5). Then visualize that you receive a beautiful light from your sun/Self, through a vertical ray falling on your top of the head or crown chakra. While you breathe deeply (by the belly), visualize your Self energy illuminating your mind and then purifying and recharging you whole body. (You can imagine inhaling this great energy from your sun/Self, then on each expiration, you send it to a different part of your body, from your head down to the feet – especially on a sick organ or system.)
- Create a protection around yourself. Visualize a sphere (of the color/energy of your sun) that surrounds your whole body, and is receiving a constant flow of your sun energy. Visualize that this sphere has a soft texture but gives you a strong protection: it doesn’t let any bad energy in, but keeps breathing in the beautiful and loving vibrations of nature and from others. See it perfectly whole and a spherical aura and membrane all around you. Repeat the visualization that it blocks effectively all negative energy (relative to you). Repeat that it keeps welcoming all positive energy.
- Now work with intent in order to find a solution. Now you can do the visualization with intent, as described above. While still surrounded by the protective sphere, ask directly to you Self (1) to send you a dream or sign; (2) and to led you toward the most beneficial solution for you, in the light of your spiritual path.
Repeat the exercise on different days until you feel (1) energized and strong the whole day; (2) until your mind is clarified as to the problem; AND (3) until the solution appears to you clearly and unmistakably as something you can, right now, start to put into action (even if the goal is a few months ahead).
Esther Haasnoot: Carl Jung described the collective unconscious as a shared, universal layer of the unconscious mind present in all humans, containing inherited archetypes and primordial images. He thus meant that we are all interconnected. You yourself propose that everything in the universe is fundamentally linked and dependent on one another. This includes not just people, but all species, ecosystems, the planet, and even the entire universe itself. So, we are not separate from the animal kingdom, but an integral part of it. How does that interconnectedness work?
Chris H. Hardy: In the Infinite Spiral Staircase theory (ISST) that I propose, everything in the universe, at any scale, has a hyperdimensional layer of existence, and this HD layer is hyper-consciousness (Syg-HD) + hyperspace (Center-HD) + hypertime (Rhythm-HD). In brief, that means that any system, whether a bio or a matter one, from the particles to the animals, to humans, to the planet – all have a consciousness layer; and it is through this HD-consciousness layer that we’re all interconnected, and moreover at hyper-speed, via a syg-energy that traverses all matter, as well as the interstellar void, instantly. This hyperdimension of consciousness is The One-field, cosmic consciousness – that has been described as the Collective Unconscious, the Tao, Brahman, or else the noosphere by Teilhard de Chardin, and The One in Hermetism and alchemy.
But ISST makes the link with physics and allows us to foresee that we can tap into the huge hyper-speed syg-energy pervading not only our human consciousness but the planet and the stars. If we tap into this HD syg-energy, we’ll have the key to instant interstellar communication and travel. This is the kind of HD-energy used by the alien civilizations visiting us, of which we discover more and more through the process of disclosure actually happening in the USA – and with hard-to-refute high-tech registered cases (such as videos from radars or infrared cams) presented before the US Congress, and which the US government has confirmed. This disclosure is not the fact of the government, but rather one launched by many witnesses of the highest ranks in the Intelligence community and in the military in the USA, and they are the ones making it happen on a daily basis. Several dozens of researchers and groups are interviewing these witnesses and posting high-tech proofs and analyses, most notably on YouTube. Check for them, it’s a tsunami of gold-standard cases with hard-core technological proofs. History channel has some, NewsNation (John Coulthart) also.
Esther Haasnoot: In this holistic perspective, our planet is a living being and part of an interconnected system—not just a resource to be exploited. Based on this knowledge, does our mindset and role have to shift from dominators to stewards or earth-keepers? If we accept this holistic perspective, where the well-being of the whole is tied to the well-being of each part, what are the primary ethical responsibilities that arise from it?
Chris H. Hardy: Well, this is the crucial question. It’s a long time now that we have understood that we have to shift from a dominator role to an earth-keeper role, and urgently so if we want to protect our own habitat—Earth. And the process of realizing that has large collective ups and downs. We have to keep intently on that aim, with all our Soul-energy. The more people are able to resonate to the Earth as Gaia, as the World-Soul, and the more we’ll be able to surmount the downs and to energize and nurture the next collective up. Let’s nurture, with all our intents, the coming harmonization cycle.
