Special New Year’s astrology for the soul
Happy New Year! Out with the old and in with the new! Onwards and upwards! Let’s get going! Oh, uh, wait a minute, Mars is retrograding back into Cancer, and we have inconjunct aspects all over indicating that some uncomfortable adjustments need to be made, so…. I’m going to suggest that this is a week to ever so slowly begin to “re-engage.” Take as much time as possible to get back into a work routine or start a new one. Stretch out the holiday season for as long as you can!
I’ve been really contemplating just how different the soul and the body are and how really distinct and separate they are. The soul changes bodies like we change tires on our car. So, while we need a good set of tires to get anywhere, the point, purpose, growth and evolution happens on a soul level, not through better jobs, partners, bodies, income, friends or family. In fact, all of these can serve to distract us from the real work of going within.
So, whether you feel like life is happening too fast, too slow, too hard, or no fun, it’s all imperfectly perfect for your consciousness to open and your heart to expand. Starting right here and right now wherever and whenever you freely choose to feel into the silence, listen within, and practice tuning into the slower, lower, frequencies beyond “perceptible” sound. Feel the vibration and movement of our mother earth breathing, the stars, and galaxies inhaling and exhaling, the universe expanding and contracting. There is so much we don’t know but can. Let’s check it out!
